Before your first show.
What do I need?
A computer with Chrome, Edge or Safari, a projector connected as a second display, and a projection surface such as translucent mesh. A camera is optional. Create a free account to test your setup before purchasing.
Which browsers work?
Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers such as Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc, version 114 or later, and Safari 17 or later on a Mac. Use a desktop or laptop computer; phones and tablets cannot drive a projector show. Firefox is not supported yet.
Can the show run without a camera?
Yes. Scenes run autonomously and include varied, random reactions. You can also trigger reactions from Studio.
Which cameras work?
USB, built-in and virtual cameras exposed by your browser. A Wi-Fi or network camera can be connected through OBS Virtual Camera; direct RTSP links are not supported. Test your lighting and camera position before the event.
Are camera images uploaded?
No. Detection runs on your computer. SceneBeam does not record or upload camera images or visitor positions.
Are there legal requirements for camera placement?
Yes. Position and aim the camera so its actual field of view and use comply with surveillance and data protection rules in the country where it is used. You are responsible for checking any requirements for a lawful basis, notices, signage and permissions. Avoid neighbours’ homes and public spaces without a lawful basis. Local image processing without uploading does not automatically exempt use from these rules. User agreement
Can I use different windows?
Yes. After signing in, choose your viewport proportions and shape, then calibrate the projector corners. Scenes adapt to the selected shape and size.
Can I use it offline?
Prepare the purchased scenes while signed in and online. Keep the site data in the same browser. A prepared show can then play without a network connection, even after a browser restart. The first sign-in and content download need internet. Safari removes website data for sites you have not opened for seven days, so in Safari, prepare offline playback in the same week as the show.

How do I get started after buying?
Sign in to your account and open Studio. The guided setup for projector, viewport and optional camera is available there. You can save more than one installation.
